These are valuable skills, especially working in dive centers in remote areas or on diving liveaboards equipment and compressor skills are essential to increase your employability.

For basic courses we recommend PADI Divemaster level as a prerequisite. You can complete PADI Divemaster training at any of our locations. PADI instructor is the prerequistite for the instructor level training.

EQUIPMENT & GAS BLENDER COURSES ON KOH TAO

COMPRESSOR OPERATOR

Conducted over 1 day, the theory will take you through the basic layout and design of a compressor, breathing air standards and filter systems. The practical session will then take you through everything you need to know on the day to day running and maintenance of the compressor. By the end of the course you will be confident in the day to day operation of a compressor and be comfortable filling tanks ready for diving.

NITROX BLENDER

The Practical side will take you through Partial Pressure Blending (the most common form of blending) and continuous flow blending. By the end of the course you will be confident in using 2 different methods to blend nitrox mixes from 22% to 100%.

Conducted over 1 day, the theory will cover all the necessary safety precautions, different filling techniques and calculations you will need to safely calculate your Nitrox Blends.

EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Conducted over 2 days, the course will take you through the complete trouble shooting, disassembly, cleaning and rebuild of the full range of aqualung regulators. During the 2 days you will cover unbalanced, balanced and overbalanced 1st stages, unbalanced and balanced 2nd stages. Then finish off fixing and servicing the full range of Aqualung regulators with BCD Inflators. At the end of the 2nd day you will be given an hour or 2 to practice your new skills under the supervision of your instructor. By the end of the course you will have a greater understanding of how a regulator works, common problems and be comfortable.
